Let’s Get Started
What’s the
first step?
The first step to getting a rhinoplasty is to schedule a detailed consultation with Dr. Sitapara at his state-of-the-art practice in Columbia, MD. During this initial meeting, the doctor will examine your nose, review your medical and surgical history, and begin to formulate the perfect treatment plan for resolving your issues. Before surgery, you may be asked to follow certain guidelines, including the following:
- Stop taking certain medications that could interfere with proper healing after surgery.
- Stop smoking or any nicotine use at least 4-6 weeks before rhinoplasty
- Arrange for someone to drive you home and assist you for the first 24-48 hours
- On the day of surgery, avoid wearing any creams, lotions, or cosmetics
- Leave jewelry and valuables at home
- Don’t wear contact lenses on the day of surgery
- Fill prescriptions ahead of time
- Wear clothing with buttons on the front
- Don’t eat or drink anything for 12 hours before your appointment
